Pricing a Schedule of Works can be very demanding of your time, and can often drive a Contractor to distraction trying to price such a document. Schedule of Works documents often don't seem to make sense when not written in a logical format, with the same items either appearing several times throughout the document or missing completely, and if it were not for the drawings you would have no idea that the item was ever included in the work remit.
Unlike a bill of quantities which groups like for like items together and list in a logical order, a Schedule of Works can often mean you price the same item over and over again due to location within the building or the poor structure of the document.
