Preparation of Builders Quantities
Many contractors are already aware of production rates and rates from Sub Contractors due to past experience, so when tendering a project not procured through a bill of quantities, the Contractor only require a Builders Quantities 'take-off', which they apply rates to themselves.
In such a situation, we produce a document similar to a bill of quantities however generally not quite as detailed with many items grouped together, at the request of the Contractor. Once completed, the Contractor applies their rates and submits the bid applying their own OH&P margins etc. as they deem competitive in the current market.
